Train your dog to lie down

train to lie down

1. Ask your dog to sit, in front of you, and then hold out a treat tightly between your fingers and let them sniff and lick it.

2. Lower the treat slowly to the floor so that your dog’s nose is pointing down between their paws. Let them to lick at the treat. If your dog stands up, ask them to sit and try again.

3. As soon as their elbows touch the floor, praise your dog and give the treat.

4. Add a command like “down!” to the exercise when they get it right. With enough practice, you’ll eventually be able to get your dog to lie down when they hear the command.

Learning new skills requires a lot of time, patience, & motivation and it goes without saying that the right treats can make your dog's training sessions fun and enjoyable. These sessions can also help to build your bond with them. So, Choose the right dog treats to keep them motivated during training sessions.
